Higher Education Projects
Johnson Carlier recognizes the role education plays in a community
and is dedicated to expansion and renovation programs which enhance
the campus environment. We have worked extensively with Arizona State
University, both on their main campus and at ASU East. Our preconstruction
enables project completion to be on time and within budget. Construction
is completed with minimal disruption to student and faculty life.
Arizona State University Global Institute of Sustainability
Research Center
- 4-story renovation project on Arizona State University’s Tempe Campus.
- Environmentally focused design and construction
- Academic / private offices, conference and training spaces, open office space, synthesis centers, classrooms and enclaves
- The space is measurably sustainable due to upgrades in the HVAC sensory systems, lighting efficiency, low-flow plumbing fixtures and the use of natural lighting.

Mesa Community College’s Red Mountain Campus
Learning Center / Remodel Program
Pre-construction services have begun on the new $13.5 million, Learning Center and Palo Verde Building Remodel Program on Mesa Community College’s Red Mountain Campus. Mesa Community College is one of the 10 Maricopa Community Colleges. Johnson Carlier will lead construction services for the new 33,415 GSF facility and remodel program which are scheduled to begin in August 2008 with completion in July 2009.
