Johnson
Carlier continually embraces safety and health training
and awareness. Project managers, as well as superintendents, field
workers and supervisors upgrade their safety skills on a continual
basis. Site specific hazard assessments review the unique chances
of unusual hazards to ensure as many as possible are identified;
then this awareness is presented to all competent persons on our
jobsites and communicated to the Owner to protect employees. Pre-job
conferences, as well as weekly safety meetings ensure every hazard
recognized is eliminated or measures taken to proactively protect
all workers and stimulate their awareness.
Johnson Carlier was one of the first general contractors to require
complete subcontractor compliance with OSHA/ADOSH and EPA mandated
rules, standards and emphasis programs. Not just in generic terms,
but specifically addressing major fatality and injury categories:
fall protection, electrocution, caught by/between, falling objects,
ladders, excavations, fork lifts, scaffolds as well as others.
This same safety level of awareness and proactive participation
is experienced on all projects regardless of whether they are commercial,
industrial, advanced technology or medical. Johnson Carlier continually
looks in depth and implements the strategies for a safe and productive
workforce. Our key concern is keeping all employees safe in the
workplace and this requires constant interventions and strategies
to not only minimize hazards but to also recognize those inherent
to our Arizona workplaces, such as heat, dehydration and communications.
There is no room for exceptions to safety compliance at Johnson
Carlier.
Johnson Carlier represents safe construction environments with
emphasis on training, awareness, effective communications and compliance.
It is no wonder, “Our People Make Us The Contractor Of Choice.”
